The main topic of all my art is humans, or rather: the human body we all know well. With every piece I try to create a newer and more interesting form of expression. At times I create deconstructions or multiply the people depicted in my works. This is meant to encourage the viewer to reflect upon their relationship with other people, both the good and the bad elements as well as the essence of their own “me”.
“People often ask me why I do graphic arts if I graduated in painting? Well, during my studies of painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków I had the pleasure of attending the classes of a famous graphic artist, Henryk Ożóg, Ph.D, who instilled in me a passion towards graphic techniques and above all has shown me that I can be truly free when expressing myself as the creator of art. I create my works in mixed media: photographs of people who are dear to me, my friends and even my own body. This is my way of supporting the body positivity movement. I modify the pictures with ink, often creating additional elements or deconstructing parts of the picture. These are my conscious decisions in order to achieve a more interesting form of expression. Next, I do a gravure print of my vision. Sometimes I also mix this technique with etching or aquatint. The rest I leave up to the individual interpretation of my viewers.”
